The first week of the holidays I am going to Aotea. This is between Raglan and Kawhia. I am going there because we know someone who owns a Bach there. My auntie Sarah with my cousin is coming as well as my best friend Jennifer and my mum’s friend Diane and my brother’s friend Rob. We are going to take the fishing rods so we can go fishing (stinky). My mum is also taking our two bikes so we can bike around and down to the sea as well as the diary. For the second week of the holidays I am going up to my untie Sarah’s house it is going to be so cool! She lives on a farm up in the king country. Every time we go there we always go to The Lavender Farm for hot chocolates.

My Weekend

May 26th, 2008

On Friday I had netball practise it was ok. After we had done some practising we played a team from Te Awamutu Intermediate. On Saturday my team the TAI Force had a game of netball so did all the other teams. We played a team called the force to but they were a different team. Even though we lost I still think we palyed really good. After netball my gratgrand parnets took me to Elbert Park because there was a bagpipe  contest. I don’t really know much about it because I didn’t get until the end. The Te Awamutu band came 4th which is pretty good I think. When I got there all the bands that had turned up were playing together it was so cool. My two friends where there to because there dad was playing. The bands were so good!!!! It was a really fun day to bad I didn’t get to wacth it all!!

Anzac Day At Otorohanga and Kawhia

May 2nd, 2008

On the 25th of April I went with my grandad and the Te Awamutu Highland pipe band to Otorohanga for the Anzac Day parade at 1o am. It was a very long parade and heaps of people talked as well as a high-school student. At the end of the ceremony a lot of people put really cool wreaths on the monument. On the way up and down they played The Brown Haired Maiden, The Green Hills of Tyrol, When the battle is Over, Scotland the Brave and lots lots more. About 12pm we left for Kawhia and it was kind of the same except it wasn’t as long as Otorohangas one. At the start when they were getting warmed up there was a group of kids listening and going up and then running away because it was to loud for them. My grandad and Kathy said even if I am not playing next year I can still walk with because I will have my uniform. After we got back to Te Awamutu we went to the R.S.A to play a few tunes and have tea. After the band played I met grandads sister she is really cool. It was such a fun day I cant wait till next year when I’m playing with them.
